LEGACY
LIVING ON AFTER YOU'RE GONE
From the very beginning, when I came to Canada in 2000, and up to this season, I have always been about legacy. One of the first things I put in place as more people began to come along side of us, was team ministry. I understood that all God’s children are anointed and have something to give, so I laid hands on them, prayed impartation over them, and released them to pray and prophesy over others. Team ministry is when the whole team ministers, not just the speaker. This, of course, was a foreign concept to many, and something not being practiced in general. This is one of the hallmarks of the apostolic model, the father raising up the children and releasing them into their giftings. The greater part of the church in Canada at the time followed the pastoral model, where only the pastor or guest speaker minister.
We serve a God of legacy, and His heart is for sons and daughters. Now more than ever, it is important for the next generation to rise up and take the land, but this is only possible is they are discipled, and then mentored. More than ever, the church today needs spiritual fathers and mothers to rise up and mentor the next generation.
You cannot lead someone where you have never been, but wherever you are at in your journey with Him right now and with all that you have been through, know that God has been preparing you for such a time as this.
Truly, it is a time to pour into a generation that is rising up to walk in power and authority; a generation that encompasses a range of ages from the very young to even a seasoned person. I believe it is time for spiritual mothers and fathers to rise up and wake up and to impart the vast treasures of knowledge and experience you have gained as you have traveled in this walk with our Lord.
YOU HAVE A PURPOSE!
You were formed for a purpose, for a destiny; the Bible tells us before the foundation of the world, and you need to stay true to that purpose. God is revealing and releasing His church. We can lead or pour into a generation when we know that we have traveled that road and we know that road works.
Let’s all help raise up a generation that has become motherless and fatherless. Let’s nurture them and be there for them, let’s speak into their lives and breathe life into them with the power of our words and the role model of our faith.
PROPHETIC JOURNEY TO YOUR SPIRITUAL DESTINY
Success is not the destination, but rather the journey. I need to clearly know where I am going but I also need to rightly identify who I am in Christ and where I am at in this journey. I believe that there are 5 cycles or passages to our spiritual destiny and many different phases even within those passages.
